Bhada
Fares by the kilometre, loads by the permit, and no signal needed for either.
Offline-first bus fares for Kathmandu. A phone under the seat meters the road, the door prices each ride by the kilometre and refuses boarding at the permit, and every fare is signed on the bus and settled later on Postgres. No signal needed at the moment of payment.
IdeaX, built solo
Kathmandu buses have no fixed stops, yet fares come from a stage table. The conductor guesses, the passenger argues, and the same bus leaves Koteshwor with sixty people on a forty-two seat permit. Bhada measures the ride and counts the heads.
